A gift-set insert must restrain each mini lip gloss tube while allowing it to be removed. Review the insert with the final assembled pack and decoration, because a cavity that fits an undecorated sample can still rub the finished surface or make the consumer pull on the cap.
Define where the insert may touch
Map the intended support and restraint areas on the actual tube. Favor locations suited to those loads and identify print, foil, coatings and moving joints that need protection. A decorated body does not always provide an undecorated gripping zone, so the contact plan must follow the selected design.

Avoid using the cap as a stop that pushes or twists the closure during insertion, transport or removal. Contact with a cap does not automatically cause leakage, but unintended closure loading deserves investigation. The insert should not be treated as a way to compensate for an unvalidated bottle-and-cap assembly.
Compare restraint with removal
Check the tube’s fit across the expected package and insert variation. Excessively loose support permits movement; excessive grip can mark a surface or make extraction difficult. Agree the appropriate fit for the chosen tray material and construction rather than assigning one universal clearance.
Provide access for fingers or another intended removal feature. Observe how a person actually lifts the tube: the opening should not require prying against a print area or repeatedly turning the cap. Review the other cavities too, because neighboring products and the gift-box walls can obstruct access.
Test the assembled gift pack
Close the box with its intended lid, protective layers and all products installed. Check whether the lid or another item introduces a load that was absent when the open tray was inspected. Observe insertion and removal for surface marks, then evaluate representative packs under the agreed distribution and handling conditions.
Inspect where movement or scuffing occurred before changing the insert. A damaged print may involve the contact surface, contamination or decoration durability; a single mark does not identify its cause. Keep the tube finish and tray versions recorded for the comparison.
Approve the combination
Review the final tube, insert and outer box together, with acceptance criteria for restraint, appearance and removal. Sambound’s empty lip gloss references at sambound.com provide product context. The availability of a tube does not establish that a particular gift tray is supplied or that the combined gift set has passed transport testing.
